Add custom domain to Statuspage in Hydrozen.io

This tutorial shows you how to configure a custom domain / sub-domain to your Statuspage.

Steps

This guide will show you how to add a custom domain to a Statuspage in Hydrozen dot io.

Create the statuspage like you regularly do. If you already have the statuspage configured, you can skip this step.

Go to **Custom domains**

Then click on **Connect custom domain**

Enter your domain or sub-domain here.

We need to add these DNS records

CNAME is the recommended approach for sub-domains. If you are using **Cloudflare** for DNS, you can use CNAME even for root domains.

Then click on **Create**

Your custom domain will be submitted for approval. Now go to your DNS management console.

Add the CNAME record for the sub-domain or domain as mentioned.

Then make sure to **Save** the records and go back to Hydrozen dot io.

Your domain will be processed and approved for use in a maximum of 24 hours.

We recommend dropping us a note on the Chat, so we can speed it up and approve the domain for use quickly.

Once the domain is approved, it'll go to the active state.

Go to the **Status pages** menu.

Click on the 3 dots next to the status page where you want to add the custom domain.

Click on **Edit**

Click on the **Domain** dropdown.

Select the newly added domain from the list.

Toggle this slider on, if you want to use this domain exclusively for this status page alone. Or else you can slide it off.

And edit this alias as you did with the hydrozen domain, it's disabled now as we have chosen the **exclusive** option.

You can also do further customizations such as logo, favicon, fonts, etc., as needed.

Then click on the **Update** button and you are good to go.

Now you will be able to access the statuspage via custom domain alias.

Or the custom domain, depending upon your configuration.

Create your Status page with Hydrozen dot io, the world's simplest uptime monitoring service.
